Coach House Stage

Glenhyrst is pleased to introduce an intimate stage venue. Our goal is to bring more music, arts and culture to the community with an inexpensive and interesting venue to host a performance. Glenhyrst wants to be part of developing a series of events which represent the quality of talent and uniqueness of our community.

General Info:

  • The Coach House Stage is an indoor performance space provided by Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant.

  • Individuals and organizations in the performing arts may apply to use this space in partnership with Glenhyrst Art Gallery.

  • Glenhyrst reserves the right to curate events to meet their mandate and has the sole discretion to deny an application if it does not meet this mandate.

  • Performance space as-is

  • Space for up to 75 chairs

  • Bookings are limited to 4 times per season per person/organization and performances must not conflict with the mission and values of Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant.

Marketing

  • Ad layouts for all performances done by Glenhyrst

  • Advertising via website and social media

  • Ticket sales on Glenhyrst website

Event Night info:

  • Glenhyrst will provide access to the space at 3:30 p.m. the day of the event.

  • Glenhyrst liaison present on the evening of the event

  • Performer Partner is responsible for Set up of room (table, chairs, decor)

  • Performer Partner is responsible for tear down of room (back to original condition)

  • The Performing Partner is required to conclude the performance by 11:00 p.m. at the latest and to return the space to its original condition by 12:00 a.m., including depositing all garbage and recycling in the receptacles provided and sweeping or mopping the space if required.

Fees:

  • Damage deposit of $125.00 is required at the time of the contract signature

  • If the Performing Partner intends to charge admission or take donations for the performance, funds will be collected by Glenhyrst.

  • Advance ticket sales will be offered via the Pay Pal service on the Glenhyrst website. In some circumstances additional tickets may be sold for cash at the door by the liaison.

  • In all cases, Glenhyrst will retain a 10% fee for use of the space from total revenue collected, and the 90% balance will be paid to the Performing Partner via cheque or cash by Glenhyrst.

  • If no admission fee is charged, only the damage deposit is required from the Performing Partner.

Parking:

  • Parking spaces are provided near the Coach House Building as well as near the Gallery building. Parking is not allowed in designated areas including on Ava Rd. or on the circular drive around the Gallery.

Food:

  • Glenhyrst must be notified of any food be served in the facility to determine if permitting is required.
