Hazel Devereux

Hazel Devereux was a Canadian artist born in Elgin County, Ontario. She attended Hamilton Teacher's College and she studied art at the Banff School of Fine Arts and Guelph College. She also taught at Glenhyrst Art Gallery and for several years was a member of the Board of Education. She is an ex-member of Brantford's Advisory Planning Board and past-president of the Business and professional Women's Club. She was active in many other local organizations including the United Church, the Local Council of Women, and Brantford Art League. Devereux was chairman of the Trades and Professions for the National Council of Women.
