Ryszard Litwiniuk

Ryszard Litwiniuk was born and educated in Poland, graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in 1992. He emigrated to Canada in the late 90s and currently lives and works in Mississauga. His sculptures have been shown in exhibitions and international symposiums in France, Germany, Ukraine, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Italy, Argentina, Spain, Canada and the U.S.A.. He has received a number of awards including a fellowship award from the Vermont Studio Centre in 1999, a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Inc. in New York in 1994, and Special Prize from the Fondo National de las Artes in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000.
