Why Attend the Serendipity tour?

From May to June 2026, the Terra Tributa family will journey from Windsor to Ottawa, bringing the Serendipity Tour to Ontario’s largest cities, through stories, screenings, and workshops.

Some of history’s greatest creative breakthroughs weren’t the result of careful planning, but of unexpected events. Serendipity has shaped creativity, science, and human progress in ways rarely acknowledged. Yet, serendipity is often misunderstood, dismissed as luck, a distraction, or reserved for the “fortunate.”

This free cine-conference features the documentary Face to Face with Serendipity, interactive workshops, and unforgettable moments of discovery. Inspired by a 4,500 km cycling adventure across Western Canada, the Terra Tributa family interviewed 17 acclaimed artists. And now they’re sharing these stories to spark curiosity, creativity, hope, and resilience. In a changing world, mastering the unexpected is not a luxury. It’s serendipity: a skill, innovative, meaningful, and, most importantly, learnable.

How Does the Cine-Conference Unfold?

The 2 hour format is designed to be flexible, engaging, and deeply human, blending storytelling, interaction, and reflection. The purpose is to answer these three questions:

  • What makes serendipity happen?

  • Who can experience it?

  • And most importantly, can we create our own luck?

Core Themes

  • Raises awareness and understanding of serendipity as a learnable skill.

  • Boosts creativity, well-being, and resilience.

  • Uses art as a tool for personal and community empowerment.

  • Builds intergenerational and cross-community connections.

Who is the TERRA TRIBUTA Family?

  • Bertrand Lemeunier | Award-winning filmmaker, speaker, photographer, and author.

  • Vanessa Richard | Speaker, author, environmental consultant, and biologist.

  • Their sons, Léo and Lucas | Co-adventurers since birth and homeschooled.

Rooted in Quebec, the Terra Tributa family lives by the rhythm of slow travel, cycling across Canada, Poland, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Their journey is a practice: to be present, to live in harmony with nature, to connect with communities, to follow dreams, and to leave a lighter footprint. Stepping out of their comfort zone turned adventure into a way of life. Through talks, documentaries, exhibitions, and books, Terra Tributa brings you face to face with dreams and a world to protect. To date, they’ve produced four documentaries, published four coffee-table books, presented seven exhibitions and given nearly 200 public talks. All born from serendipity.
